The Best Podcast Software 2023

The Best Podcast Software 2023

I am not affiliated with Adobe podcasts. I wrote the following so others don't waste the same money and time I did.

Since I am not an audio engineer and my podcast recording studio is a closet, I looked for the best way to have clear audio recordings online. From all the reviews and articles I read, I chose Riverside. You can record in 4K, and you can easily repurpose material for social media, but their editing system is subpar, their transcription service is horrible, and the recordings do not come out crystal clear.

To fix the audio quality, I started using Final Cut Pro because their new voice isolation feature works well, but it's NOTHING compared to Adobe podcast's free enhanced speech tool. It's in its beta stage and only accepts up to 1 GB, but the results are incredible, and it only takes up to 10 minutes to enhance.

I'm still using rev.ai for transcriptions (they're the best and cheapest out of everything I tried) and Riverside to record meetings, but as soon as Adobe launches its recording studio, I will switch over.

Obviously, written words don't mean much in this case, so to prove to you how well Adobe's AI works, I kept my Youtube Videos with their original audio (Riverside + Final Cut Pro) but switched all my audio files on Anchor, Apple Podcasts, Amazon, and Spotify to the Adobe podcast enhanced speech versions.

Since you can watch the videos, you can see the headphones and mics people were using to understand how well Adobe's enhancements work. In some cases, the original recording quality was low, and the fixed result was a bit tiny, but still way better than what I could do with Final Cut Pro.
